Lily is 16 years old and began tap dance at the age of 3. Over time she has attended three dance studios, but she no longer attends any. Currently, she is finding opportunities to receive individual training in addition to Speaking in Taps. Lily also takes part in competitive dance using her own choreography. This will be her fifth year in the company and her dancing has grown so much since she first started. After coming such a long way, she is extremely excited to have earned her place as captain. Speaking in Taps has helped her realize that she wants to pursue dance as a career, and she will continue to work towards that goal.
Taylor is 16 years old and is a student at Masconomet High school. She dances competitively at Nancy Chippendales Dance Studios in all styles. Taylor is primarily focused on tap and in addition to Speaking in Taps is a member of the American Tap Company. In 2019, she traveled to Riesa, Germany, to represent team USA in the World Tap Championships, where her and her team were finalists. This is Taylor's 6th year in the company and her 2nd year as captain, and she is so grateful to be working with such an amazing group of dancers!
Carley Trudel is 16 years old and resides in the Seacost of New Hampshire. She joined Speaking in Taps in 2017. Outside of dance, Carley is involved with her school community as a member of student organizations and a mentorship program. She also loves to travel, which tap dance has been fortunate to provide her with opportunities to do so. Carley is very excited to step into the position as one of the Captains after being the assistant captain of the 2020-21 season. She loves being apart of the company and is looking forward to watching the SIT community grow!
Madelynn is almost 14 years old and is excited to begin her third year in the company. She loves to dance and perform all styles, but tap has always been closest to her heart. She has had many opportunities to perform through experiences with Speaking in Taps, as well as her studio at NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH. When not dancing, she loves all kinds of live performances, plays the flute in her school band, and is active in local theater companies. When not performing, she enjoys painting, biking, and camping with her family and friends.
Hannah is 12 years old and has been dancing since the age of 2. She currently dances at Lakes Region Dance and is a member of their competition team. Hannah enjoys all styles of dance including contemporary, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip hop, tap and recently discovered a passion for acro. Tap has always been her favorite style of dance from a very young age. This is Hannah’s third year in Speaking in Taps and she is very excited to see what this year brings!
Lillian is 13 years old and is from Southborough, MA. She began dancing at the age of 3, and currently dances in the company at Rhythm Dance Company in Westborough, MA. She is excited to be a member of Speaking in Taps again this season and continue her training as a tap dancer!
Madison Broughton is 17 years old and has been dancing since the age of 3. She does other styles of dance but tap has always been her favorite. Madi has danced at Creative Steps for 13 years and is currently going into her 2nd year at Lakes Region School of Dance. This is her 4th year in Speaking in Taps and she can't wait for another amazing year!
Aureliana is 16 years old from Manchester, CT, and has been tap dancing since she was 4. Since tap dance is her main style of dance, she has attended many tap workshops such as the Big Apple Tap Fest and Tap Kids in Vermont. Some of her other interests include writing and playing music.
Lindsey resides in Hudson, Florida and this is her first year in Speaking in Taps. She graduated with her Associates degree from Pasco Hernando State College and is now working full-time at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s office. She has been Tap dancing since the age of 4. Along with Speaking in Taps, Lindsey is also one of the captains of Ashlyn Bolton’s company called Rhythm and Sole and has been apart of that company since 2017. She is excited to be able to work with Aaron as a remote member and is grateful for this opportunity.
Bella Bryant is 12 years old and has been dancing since the age of two at Creative Steps School of Dance and Lakes Region Dance. She has danced competitively for six years in the styles of tap, hip hop, and jazz. Bella’s favorite style of dance is tap because it’s a way to express her creative abilities. This is Bella’s second year in Speaking in Taps, and she’s excited to continue growing as a dancer.
Emma is 16 years old and this is her second year in Speaking in Taps. Emma began dancing at the age of 3 but has started to take tap dance more seriously in the past 5 years. She takes all styles at the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center and is a dance captain for Rhythm and Sole Tap Ensemble. Emma enjoys being outside, reading, and being with animals. She is also an EarthEcho International Senior Water Challenge Ambassador! Emma loves being part of Speaking In Taps and is looking forward to the year ahead!
Ashlyn Bolton is from Brooksville, Florida and this is her second year in Speaking In Taps. Ashlyn is the director of a tap company called Rhythm and Sole and is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer in several genres of dance; although Tap is her favorite. One of Ashlyn's life goals is to become a Radio City Rockette, but in the meantime she is continuing to teach, perform, and learn from as many people as possible. Ashlyn is very excited to continue with Speaking In Taps and work with Aaron more!
Addy Bunie is a rising Freshman and has taken tap since the age of 4 at Granite State Dance Center. She enjoys all styles of dance but connects with tap the most, and that's why she’s stuck with it. In addition, Addy performs in musicals at the Palace Theatre, studies Kempo Karate, takes voice lessons, and plays the alto saxophone. One year of privates with Aaron has prepared her for her first year in Speaking In Taps. Addy is very excited to see where this company will lead her, how far it will push her, and how much she’ll grow.
Regan is 19 years old from Mansfield, Massachusetts. She has been dancing for 17 years. She dances many styles but tap is by far her favorite. She is attending Dean college majoring in dance. This is Regan's third year in Speaking In Taps and she is extremely excited to continue to be a part of the company.
Bella is 15 years old and is from Dunbarton, New Hampshire. She has been dancing since the age of 6 and enjoys all styles of dance including ballet, hip hop, lyrical and jazz but tap has always been her favorite. Bella also dances with the competition team at NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH and is currently starting 10th grade. She is in her third year with Speaking in Taps and is so excited to continue dancing with the company!
At age 20, Lindsay has been a tap dancer for 14 years and is in her seventh year with Speaking In Taps. She was a captain in the 2017-2018 season and is now attending the University of Connecticut, majoring in economics and minoring in accounting. Lindsay also has competitive dance experience including the World Tap Championships in Riesa, Germany.
Claire is 13 years old and lives in Franklin, NH. She started dancing at 18 months of age at Creative Steps School of Dance. She was a member of Creative Steps Dance Company for 5 years. She is now going into her second year at Lakes Region Dance competing regionally in tap numbers. Aside from dancing, her other hobbies include reading, baking and photography. Claire is very excited for her second year in Speaking In Taps!
Casey is 16 years old and this is her first year in Speaking In Taps. She has danced since the age of five but only began focusing on tap since 2018 when she attended her first tap festival. With the recent popularity of online Zoom classes, she has begun training extensively with Aaron Tolson and Derick Grant. She has attended numerous festivals and intensives such as The intensive, Tap Kids, RIFF, among many others. She is from the Tampa Bay area in Tampa Florida and is also a member of Ashlyn Bolton's tap company, Rhythm and Sole. Casey is excited about continuing her growth as a member of Speaking In Taps.
Reese is 13 years old and has been dancing since she was 3. Reese lives in Dover, NH with her parents and her older brother. She enjoys all styles of dance. Her favorite events of the year are The Intensive and Tap Kids and she is excited to be a SIT member!
Michael began dancing at his mom’s dance studio, Dance Expressions Unlimited, from the age of 3. Though he dances all styles, tap is his absolute favorite form of dance. He loves complex rhythms, polyrhythms, and anything that challenges his mind. He is thrilled to be a member of both Speaking in Taps and Touche Taps, so he can hone his skills, improvise, and perform. Michael has attended many tap festivals, workshops, masterclasses, and programs. He hopes to pursue a career as a tap dancer. Beyond dance, Michael is a black belt in American Kenpo karate. In his sparse down time, he loves all kinds of Rubik’s cubes, Hanayama puzzles, logic games, brain teasers, and designing and building things.

Olivia has been dancing since she was 3 and dances at Nancy Chippendales Dance Studios. She has been a member of Speaking in Taps since 2018. In addition to Speaking in Taps, Olivia is also a member of the American Tap Company. She has traveled to Riesa, Germany 4 times to represent team USA in the World Tap Championships where she has been lucky enough to win 2 gold medals. In addition to dance, Olivia also plays field hockey.
Claire is 14 and has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She competes in all styles of dance at Rhythm Dance Company in Westborough, Massachusetts, but tap is her favorite. She also enjoys playing piano, aerial yoga, and baking, and is excited for her first year in Speaking In Taps!
Sofie is 13 years old and attends Middle School in Hopkinton, MA. She is on the dance team at Rhythm Dance Company where she dances all styles. When she is not dancing she crafting, skiing, and participating in water sports. This is her first year on SIT and she is really excited!
Gracie is a Freshman in Hopkinton, MA. She is a competitive dancer at Rhythm Dance Company and loves everything Dance. When she is not dancing you can find Gracie Skiing, Wakesurfing, or baking. This is her first year on SIT and she is excited to see what she can learn.
Catrin 14 years old and has been dancing since she was 2 at Creative Steps School of Dance. She has danced competitively for 10 years in the styles tap, contemporary, and jazz, but tap has always been her favorite. She is now dancing at Lakes Region Dance and is going into her third year in Speaking in Taps.
Tristyn is 11 years old and has been dancing since she was 2.5 years old at Creative Steps School of Dance. This is her first year joining Speaking in Taps Dance Company and she is very grateful for the opportunity. She enjoys many styles of dance, but tap is among her favorite styles. Tristyn loves the outlet that dance provides to her as a form of expressing her emotions and she is looking forward to learning and growing along the way. On the rare occasion that Tristyn is not dancing, you will likely find her performing in a local theater production, singing, painting/drawing, baking/cooking, playing with makeup, swimming, or riding ATVs with her family. She is a jack of all trades. At the current moment, when she grows up, she hopes to become a special effects makeup artist and also have a dance teaching gig on the side.
Brooke Herrera is a 16 year old from Tampa, Florida. She is excited to be in her first year with Speaking In Taps. Brooke began dancing at a young age and fell in love with tap. She is also a senior member of Rhythm & Sole Tap Ensemble. When she is not tapping, she performs professionally in musical theatre.
Maddie Herrholz has been in the company since 2018, and she began dancing at the age of two at Portsmouth School of Ballet. Currently Maddie dances competitively with Portsmouth School of Ballet in many styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and of course tap! Speaking in Taps is where she does most of her tap as it provides so many opportunities.
Audrey is 16 years old and has been tap dancing since age 3. This is her first year in Speaking in Taps. She also dances at Wilmington Dance Academy and with Touché Taps. She has been dancing competitively for 9 years and competed tap solos at many different competitions. Outside of dance, she enjoys reading, drawing, and playing with her dog.
Ashley Hoxie is 14 years old and is so excited to finally become a member of Speaking In Taps this year. Ashley is excited to take on new opportunities that Speaking In Taps offers, and she is excited to take classes with Aaron. Ashley has been dancing for almost 13 years, and has been competitively dancing since the age of 7. Currently she attends NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH and is excited to see what her first year of Speaking In Taps offers!
Annabelle is 13 years old from St.Petersburg, FL. She competitively dances at Jeanne Lynn Dance Studio in all styles. Annabelle is primarily focused in tap. She has been taking tap for 10 years , and found it as her main joy from the very begging of her journey. This is her first year of Speaking in Taps and is so thrilled to be apart of it. She can’t wait to see what this brings her in her tap training!
Hannah is 17 years old and is from Tilton, New Hampshire. She has been dancing for 13 years and currently dances at Creative Steps Dance Company. The styles of dance she enjoys most are tap and hip hop she also golfs and does art.
Mahlia is 16 years old and lives in Perrysburg, Ohio. She started tap dancing when she was 5, but as she got older she started branching out into different genres. This is her first year in SIT, and she is so grateful to be given the opportunity to work with everyone here. In addition to dancing, she also sings and plays the violin. Mahlia loves anything in the performing arts and especially enjoys watching musicals with her sisters and friends.

Carina was born on October 21st, 2005. She started dancing when she was 4, and continues to dance at New Hampshire School of Ballet. She loves all styles of dance, but especially loves tap. This will be her second year with Speaking in Taps and will continue to work her hardest to grow as a dancer with her family, friends and teachers right beside her.
Emmalyn is 10 years old and dances at NV Dance Productions in Concord NH. She has been dancing since the age of 4 and joined her studio competition team at age 5. Emmalyn enjoys all styles of dance but her favorite has always been tap. She will be starting fifth grade in the fall. Math is her favorite subject. Emmalyn is very proud to become a member of Speaking in Taps.
Kathryn has been dancing since the age of two. She has trained under New Hampshire School of Ballet, N-Step Dance Center, Step Above Most Dance Center, and Creative Steps School of Dance. She is currently teaching her own classes now. Aside from tap, she also enjoys hip hop and jazz funk genres, but tap will always be her favorite. This will be Kathryn's 4th year in the company and she can't wait to continue training and growing with the company.
Eleanor (Ellye) Setnik-King is 15 years old and is going into her sophomore year of high school. She has been dancing since she was four and is hoping to pursue a career in dance. Ellye dances competitively with NV Dance Productions where she trains year round. She is so excited to begin training and performing with SITS, and is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a tapper. Other than dance Ellye loves any form of art, especially music. She also loves spending time outside.
Jared is 15 years old and has been dancing since he was 3. Jared currently trains and competes in all styles of dance at Debbie's Dance Company in Jacksonville, Florida. He attends Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where he will be a Sophomore.
He enjoys learning from a variety of tap instructors by going to tap festivals, intensives, and conventions. Jared's is excited and honored to be a member of "Speaking in Taps".
Makenna Watts is from Orlando, Florida and is 16 years old. She has been dancing since age 5 and competitively since age 8. She did all forms of dance, tap and hip hop being her ultimate favorites. She enjoys performing and sharing a story with the audience. She loves anime, MARVEL, and Star Wars! Her future career goal is graphic animation design, and musical theater/dancer is a dream come true goal! As a new member of Speaking In Taps, she is excited for the journey and being part of this tap family!
Chanse Williams is 17 years old, going on her 16th year of dancing, and entering her first year as a member of Speaking in Taps! She has been dancing at Lakeside Academy of Dance in Middletown, CT since her mother opened the studio 13 years ago. Growing up in the studio, she has been doing several styles of dance all her life- but Tap stole her heart at a very young age. Chanse is a part of the elite competition team at Lakeside as well as Alyson’s School of Dance in Colchester, CT. She attends competitions, conventions, and festivals regularly, and tours as an Elite Dancer with Excel in Motion each year. Going into her senior year at Tolland High School in Tolland, CT, Chanse is more than excited to begin her journey with Speaking in Taps. As her favorite part of being a dancer is performing on stage, she is anxiously awaiting performance opportunities.
Brennan is 13 years old and lives in Penacook, NH. He attends Merrimack Valley Middle School where he is a high honor roll student and a member of the National Jr. Honor Society. Brennan has been dancing since age 5 and currently dances at McKenna Dance Center in Concord, NH where he is on the competition team and competes in tap and contemporary styles. He is excited to start his first year with Speaking in Taps and recently participated in The Intensive. Tap is by far his favorite past time, but when he isn't figuring out new rhythms, he can be found following the new space race, improving his Rubik's Cube times, doing drone photography or bee keeping. Brennan is looking forward to being a member of the S.I.T company and improving his skills and reaching his tap goals.
