Delaney is entering her fifth season of Speaking in Taps, and this is her third year of being a captain. In addition to her love of tap dance, Delaney also plays field hockey and tennis, and she choreographs her school’s annual musical. Whether it be school, tap dance, or her other extracurriculars, Delaney is a very hard and dedicated worker, as she is also President of her school’s National Honor Society. She is currently approaching her Senior year in high school and is so excited for this season of Speaking in Taps.
Taylor is 15 years old and is a student at Masconomet High school. She dances competitively at Nancy Chippendales Dance Studios in all styles. Taylor is primarily focused on tap and in addition to Speaking in Taps is a member of the American Tap Company. In 2019, she traveled to Riesa, Germany, to represent team USA in the World Tap Championships, where her and her team were finalists. This is Taylor's 5th year in the company and her 1st year as captain, and she is so grateful to be working with such an amazing group of dancers!
Lily is 15 years old and began tap dance at the age of 3. Over time she has attended three dance studios, but she no longer attends any. Currently, she is finding opportunities to receive individual training in addition to Speaking in Taps. Lily also takes part in competitive dance using her own choreography. This will be her fifth year in the company and her dancing has grown so much since she first started. After coming such a long way, she is extremely excited to have earned her place as captain. Speaking in Taps has helped her realize that she wants to pursue dance as a career, and she will continue to work towards that goal.
Carley is 15 years old and resides in the Seacoast of NH. She started tap dance in 2015 and joined Speaking In Taps in 2017. She is very excited to be the assistant captain of the remote group this year. Tap dance has allowed her to pursue one of her favorite hobbies, traveling. Carley has attended various tap festivals around the country such as Tap Kids, The Intensive, RIFF Dallas, North Carolina Rhythm Tap Fest, and DC Tap Fest. She is very grateful for all of the amazing dancers that she has met through out her tap dance journey and can't wait to see what's coming next for the Speaking In Taps community.
Hannah is 11 years old and has been dancing since the age of 2. She has danced at Creative Steps School of Dance for 9 years and has been a part of their competition team for 5 years. She has competed in contemporary, jazz, hip hop and tap. Tap has always been her favorite style of dance from a very young age. This is Hannah’s second year in Speaking in Taps and she is very excited to see what this year brings!
Lillian is 11 years old and is from Southborough, MA. She began dancing at the age of 3, and currently dances in the company at Rhythm Dance Company in Westborough. She is excited to be a member of Speaking in Taps and continue her training as a tap dancer!
Madison Broughton is 16 years old and has been dancing since the age of 3. She does other styles of dance but tap has always been her favorite. Madison has danced at Creative Steps for 13 years and she is going into her third year in Speaking in Taps!
Aureliana is 16 years old from Manchester, CT, and has been tap dancing since she was 4. Since tap dance is her main style of dance, she has attended many tap workshops such as the Big Apple Tap Fest and Tap Kids in Vermont. Some of her other interests include writing and playing music.
Bella Bryant is 11 years old and has been dancing since the age of two at Lakes Region Dance.. She has danced competitively for five years in the styles of tap, hip hop, and jazz. Bella’s favorite style of dance is tap because it’s a way to express your creativity abilities. This is Bella’s first year in Speaking in Taps, and she’s excited to join this prestigious group.
Emma is 15 years old and this is her first year in Speaking in Taps. Emma began dancing at the age of 3 but has started to take tap dance more seriously in the past 4 years. She also dances at the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center and is a dance captain for Rhythm and Soul Tap Ensemble. Emma enjoys being outside and being with animals. When Emma isn't dancing she is either reading or drawing. She is so excited to be a part of Speaking In Taps!
Ashlyn is from Brooksville, Florida and this is her first year in Speaking In Taps. Ashlyn is the director of a tap company called Rhythm and Sole and is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer in several genres of dance; although Tap is her favorite. One of Ashlyn's life goals is to become a Radio City Rockette, but in the mean time she is continuing to teach, perform, and learn from as many people as possible. Ashlyn is very excited to join Speaking In Taps and work with Aaron more!
Mary Grace is a dancer at Creative Steps and a member of Speaking in Taps. She loves tap more than anything and loves sharing her passion for dance by performing for others!
Addy Bunie is a rising Freshman and has taken tap since the age of 4 at Granite State Dance Center. She enjoys all styles of dance but connects with tap the most, and that's why she’s stuck with it. In addition, Addy performs in musicals at the Palace Theatre, studies Kempo Karate, takes voice lessons, and plays the alto saxophone. One year of privates with Aaron has prepared her for her first year in Speaking In Taps. Addy is very excited to see where this company will lead her, how far it will push her, and how much she’ll grow.
Regan is 19 years old from Mansfield, Massachusetts. She has been dancing for 17 years. She dances many styles but tap is by far her favorite. She is attending Dean college majoring in dance. This is Regan's third year in Speaking In Taps and she is extremely excited to continue to be a part of the company.
Bella is 14 years old and is from Dunbarton, New Hampshire. She has been dancing since the age of 6 and enjoys all styles of dance including ballet, hip hop, lyrical and jazz but tap has always been her favorite. Bella also dances with the competition team at NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH and is currently starting 9th grade. She is about to start her second year with Speaking in Taps and is so excited to continue dancing with the company!
At age 20, Lindsay has been a tap dancer for 14 years and is in her seventh year with Speaking In Taps. She was a captain in the 2017-2018 season and is now attending the University of Connecticut, majoring in economics and minoring in accounting. Lindsay also has competitive dance experience including the World Tap Championships in Riesa, Germany.
Claire is 12 years old and lives in Franklin, NH. She has been dancing since she was 18 months old at Creative Steps School of Dance. She has been a member of Creative Steps Dance Company for the past 5 years, competing regionally in both tap and hip hop numbers. Her other hobbies include baking and photography. Claire is very excited for her first year in Speaking In Taps!
Casey is 16 years old and this is her first year in Speaking In Taps. She has danced since the age of five but only began focusing on tap since 2018 when she attended her first tap festival. With the recent popularity of online Zoom classes, she has begun training extensively with Aaron Tolson and Derick Grant. She has attended numerous festivals and intensives such as The intensive, Tap Kids, RIFF, among many others. She is from the Tampa Bay area in Tampa Florida and is also a member of Ashlyn Bolton's tap company, Rhythm and Sole. Casey is excited about continuing her growth as a member of Speaking In Taps.
Ainsley has been dancing since she was two years old at Nancy Chippendales Dance Studio where she studies all styles of dance. She joined Speaking in Taps in 2014 and it has really helped her grow as a person in life and as well in the dance community. In 2013 she went to the IDO World Tap Championships and won two gold medals. To add to her achievements, she has won the Principal’s Award for her school. She hopes to continue to improve as a dancer, and more specifically a tap dancer within Speaking in Taps.
Megan has been dancing since the age of two at Artistry Dance Academy in South Florida, where she competes in all styles dance and teaches tap. She first studied with Judie Ann Bassing and now studies with Chris Lee (locally) and Aaron Tolson (via Zoom). She began to focus more on tap dance in 2015 when she attended her first tap festival and fell in love with the art form. She has attended The Intensive, RIFF, SoFlo Tap Fest, and many more festivals over the years, as she enjoys training with as many master teachers as she can. This is her first year in Speaking In Taps, and she is excited to continue improving her tap dancing skills.
Kaley is 16 years old and lives just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She has been dancing since the age of 3, with tap being her absolute favorite style. Kaley currently dances competitively at Powerhouse Dance Center in all genres. This is her first year in Speaking in Taps and she is extremely excited to work with Aaron as well as all of the amazing company members!
Reese is 13 years old and has been dancing since she was 3. Reese lives in Dover, NH with her parents and her older brother. She enjoys all styles of dance. Her favorite events of the year are The Intensive and Tap Kids and she is excited to be a SIT member!
Gabbi is 19 years old, lives in Brandon, Florida, and this is her first year with Speaking in Taps. She took her first dance class at 18 months old and fell in love immediately. She grew up doing all styles, and in middle school began to focus on tap dance. Gabbi is also one of the captains of The Rhythm and Sole Tap Ensemble and has been with them for 7 years. She has also been a dance teacher since the age of 17, currently teaches at Contempo School of Dance and is a full time college student.
Michael began dancing at his mom’s dance studio, Dance Expressions Unlimited, from the age of 3. Though he dances all styles, tap is his absolute favorite form of dance. He loves complex rhythms, polyrhythms, and anything that challenges his mind. He is thrilled to be a member of both Speaking in Taps and Touche Taps, so he can hone his skills, improvise, and perform. Michael has attended many tap festivals, workshops, masterclasses, and programs. He hopes to pursue a career as a tap dancer. Beyond dance, Michael is a black belt in American Kenpo karate. In his sparse down time, he loves all kinds of Rubik’s cubes, Hanayama puzzles, logic games, brain teasers, and designing and building things.
Lindsey Dattis has been dancing since the age of three. She has always enjoyed tap dancing and was recognized by both Dance Ovations and Elite Performance Challenge competitions for her first tap solo in 2016. Lindsey has enjoyed the opportunity to dance with Speaking In Taps and enjoys all of her teammates. In addition to dance, Lindsey enjoys field hockey, writing, and the saxophone. She hopes to study law in the future.
Olivia has been dancing since she was 3 and dances at Nancy Chippendales Dance Studios. She has been a member of Speaking in Taps since 2018. In addition to Speaking in Taps, Olivia is also a member of the American Tap Company. She has traveled to Riesa, Germany 4 times to represent team USA in the World Tap Championships where she has been lucky enough to win 2 gold medals. In addition to dance, Olivia also plays field hockey.
Aidyn is 17 years old and is from Grafton, MA. Starting at age 2, she will be entering her 15th year of dance. Along with Speaking In Taps she dances competitively in all styles at Rhythm Dance Company. When she isn't dancing Aidyn enjoys baking and focusing on her studies to maintain her status on the high honor roll, the International Youth Neuroscience Association, the executive board of her school's chapter of the National Honor's Society, and as co-captain of the Brain Bee team. In the future, she plans to go to college for neuroscience to pursue a career in medicine as well as continuing her love of dance!
Cadi is 13 years old and has been dancing since age 2. She does other styles of dance but tap is her favorite. She has danced at creative steps for 10 years and is starting her first year at Lakes Region Dance.
Tristyn is 11 years old and has been dancing since she was 2.5 years old at Creative Steps School of Dance. This is her first year joining Speaking in Taps Dance Company and she is very grateful for the opportunity. She enjoys many styles of dance, but tap is among her favorite styles. Tristyn loves the outlet that dance provides to her as a form of expressing her emotions and she is looking forward to learning and growing along the way. On the rare occasion that Tristyn is not dancing, you will likely find her performing in a local theater production, singing, painting/drawing, baking/cooking, playing with makeup, swimming, or riding ATVs with her family. She is a jack of all trades. At the current moment, when she grows up, she hopes to become a special effects makeup artist and also have a dance teaching gig on the side.
Joel is 17 years old and has been dancing since he was in second grade. He performs all styles. This is his first year in speaking in taps and he is really enjoying the advanced choreography and sense of community. He is looking forward to minoring in dance and possibly teaching in the future.
Maddie Herrholz has been in the company since 2018, and she began dancing at the age of two at Portsmouth School of Ballet. Currently Maddie dances competitively with Portsmouth School of Ballet in many styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and of course tap! Speaking in Taps is where she does most of her tap as it provides so many opportunities.
Ashley Hoxie is 14 years old and is so excited to finally become a member of Speaking In Taps this year. Ashley is excited to take on new opportunities that Speaking In Taps offers, and she is excited to take classes with Aaron. Ashley has been dancing for almost 13 years, and has been competitively dancing since the age of 7. Currently she attends NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH and is excited to see what her first year of Speaking In Taps offers!
Hannah is 17 years old and is from Tilton, New Hampshire. She has been dancing for 13 years and currently dances at Creative Steps Dance Company. The styles of dance she enjoys most are tap and hip hop she also golfs and does art.
Willow is 17 years old from Orlando, Florida and is currently attending Timber Creek High School. This is her first year as a member of Speaking in Taps. She has been training in all dance styles for 8 years, with her favorite being tap. At the age of 15, she started choreographing her own tap solos to raise awareness for medical conditions. Willow has performed for the half time show of the Miami Dolphins, the Orlando Magic, Orlando Solar Bears, and the Cure Bowl. In addition to tap dancing, Willow has a love for chorus and anything art. She plans on pursuing a degree in the arts. One thing you must know about her, is that her favorite color is orange.
Carina was born on October 21st, 2005. She started dancing when she was 4, and continues to dance at New Hampshire School of Ballet. She loves all styles of dance, but especially loves tap. This will be her second year with Speaking in Taps and will continue to work her hardest to grow as a dancer with her family, friends and teachers right beside her.
Emmalyn is 10 years old and dances at NV Dance Productions in Concord NH. She has been dancing since the age of 4 and joined her studio competition team at age 5. Emmalyn enjoys all styles of dance but her favorite has always been tap. She will be starting fifth grade in the fall. Math is her favorite subject. Emmalyn is very proud to become a member of Speaking in Taps.
Kathryn has been dancing since the age of two. She has trained under New Hampshire School of Ballet, N-Step Dance Center, Step Above Most Dance Center, and Creative Steps School of Dance. She is currently teaching her own classes now. Aside from tap, she also enjoys hip hop and jazz funk genres, but tap will always be her favorite. This will be Kathryn's 4th year in the company and she can't wait to continue training and growing with the company.
Rachel is 13 years old and attends Hollis Brookline Middle School. She bean dancing at the age of 3, enjoys many different styles of dance, but she loves to tap! She also loves musical theatre, baking, and plays both indoor and sand volleyball. She is super excited about joining Speaking In Taps this year!
Jared is 14 years old and has been dancing since he was 3.
Jared currently trains and competes in all styles of dance at Debbie's Dance Company in Jacksonville, Florida. He enjoys learning from a variety of tap instructors by going to tap festivals, intensives, and conventions. This is Jared's first year with "Speaking in Taps" and he couldn't be more excited.
Alex has been dancing since the age of 2 studying all genres of dance including Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Acro, Jazz & Hip Hop. He competes at regional and national competitions holding many national titles. Alex has performed on national tv and most recently was asked to perform with Recycled Percussion at The Boy Scouts of America National Conference. Alex will be a senior this year and hopes to continue his dancing into his college career. This is Alex’s first year as a member of Speaking in Taps and is so excited to be able to share his love of tap with the world.
Makenna Watts is from Orlando, Florida and is 16 years old. She has been dancing since age 5 and competitively since age 8. She did all forms of dance, tap and hip hop being her ultimate favorites. She enjoys performing and sharing a story with the audience. She loves anime, MARVEL, and Star Wars! Her future career goal is graphic animation design, and musical theater/dancer is a dream come true goal! As a new member of Speaking In Taps, she is excited for the journey and being part of this tap family!
Chanse Williams is 17 years old, going on her 16th year of dancing, and entering her first year as a member of Speaking in Taps! She has been dancing at Lakeside Academy of Dance in Middletown, CT since her mother opened the studio 13 years ago. Growing up in the studio, she has been doing several styles of dance all her life- but Tap stole her heart at a very young age. Chanse is a part of the elite competition team at Lakeside as well as Alyson’s School of Dance in Colchester, CT. She attends competitions, conventions, and festivals regularly, and tours as an Elite Dancer with Excel in Motion each year. Going into her senior year at Tolland High School in Tolland, CT, Chanse is more than excited to begin her journey with Speaking in Taps. As her favorite part of being a dancer is performing on stage, she is anxiously awaiting performance opportunities.
Madelynn is almost 14 years old and is excited to begin her third year in the company. She loves to dance and perform all styles, but tap has always been closest to her heart. She has had many opportunities to perform through experiences with Speaking in Taps, as well as her studio at NV Dance Productions in Concord, NH. When not dancing, she loves all kinds of live performances, plays the flute in her school band, and is active in local theater companies. When not performing, she enjoys painting, biking, and camping with her family and friends.
